On Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at approximately 11:00pm EDT (03:00 UTC on May 25), NS1 will be deploying upgrades to our monitoring subsystem that include new hardware and new IP addresses in New York, Amsterdam and Singapore. No impact is expected with respect to monitoring or DNS delivery, however customers who have previously whitelisted NS1's monitoring IP addresses on their infrastructure (e.g. in order to prevent unauthorized 3rd party access to a healthcheck page) will need to update firewall rules to include the following new IP addresses in addition to the existing ones:
New York (LGA):
IPv4 - 126.96.36.199/29
IPv6 - 2604:1380:1:ca00::3/128
There will be no impact with respect to the availability and accuracy of NS1's monitoring as part of the upgrades, and if you are not firewalling the target of your NS1 healthcheck(s) then no action is required. It is safe to make these rule changes anytime in advance of the scheduled maintenance window.
